Melissa Maranville
Melissa Maranville is a distinguished keynote speaker, author, educator, trainer, expert witness, and advisor specializing in cutting-edge technologies and methodologies for investigating child sexual exploitation, child sexual abuse material (CSAM), child trafficking, and Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC).
Sexual exploitation remains a devastating issue with profound, lasting impacts. In our technologically advanced world, digital tools offer both significant benefits and serious risks. While some of these tools can be exploited to facilitate child sexual exploitation, they also serve as powerful assets in combating it.
As a child survivor of sexual abuse and exploitation, Melissa became a leading advocate, committed to exposing predators, educating professionals, and protecting children. With over 30 years of experience, she has provided training, consulting, and expert services worldwide, supporting government agencies, law enforcement, legal cases, and non-profit organizations. Her expertise spans criminal forensics, cryptocurrency analysis, the dark web, open-source intelligence, and intelligence analysis, equipping professionals with the tools to combat crimes against children and human exploitation.
Melissa is certified in forensic investigations, cryptocurrency, and blockchain forensics and is a nationally accredited law enforcement instructor with IADLEST. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at Grand Canyon University, having previously earned both a bachelor’s and master’s degree from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, TN.
