Det. Crystal Beck with the Brigham City Police Department confirmed with KSL that Ned Brady Hansen, 54, was arrested on Monday on suspicion of eight second-degree felony charges of sexual exploitation of a minor.
According to the police affidavit, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children received a tip from a social media platform (KIK) that an account was sharing videos and images of child sex abuse material on the platform.
The affidavit stated that the account, brett00007777, had done this eight different times. The user information included an email address and phone number connected to Hansen’s home.
After serving a warrant to find the account’s IP address, authorities found that it belonged to Hansen’s Garland, Utah home.
Brigham City police issued a search warrant on Hansen’s home and took him into custody.

During an interview with Hansen, he admitted to police that he had the videos saved on his phone and owned the account associated with the tip.
“He was unsure if he had shared the videos with other users or received them from other users, but sharing content was something that he engaged in,” the affidavit stated.
Battalion Chief Chris Scothern with Tremonton fire told KSL that the department could not comment on the investigation.
On Thursday, Tremonton city manager Bill Cobabe confirmed that Hansen was terminated from his position after the city learned of his arrest.

SEX OFFENDER MANAGEMENT SYMPOSIUM REFUND POLICY
Our Symposium aims to provide the most beneficial and practical experiences for our students. From providing resources, special guest speakers, and also networking and bonding experiences. All of this is costs for us at Intellect-LE. We do our best to cover the travel costs for our instructors as well as resource give aways for students and all of that is paid prior to the course dates. If we have a large amount of students cancel before class, this incurs a large out of pocket expense for use and we would not be able to sustain our course. When you or your agency registers and pays for class we believe you are attending. We understand that circumstances arise so while we do not refund paid seats, we do offer the following options;
1. Your seat may be transferred to another attendee from your agency at no additional cost.
2. Your seat may be moved to our next available training date, even if it is in another location.
3. You can be granted 1 year's worth of access to our skills center and all the training it contains.
